Summer (dork) Nights!

Summer is almost upon us!

Summertime!

Summer is fast approaching, and with it comes summer breaks (for the kids), fun and exciting heat waves, river floats, root beer floats, and probably a blockbuster movie or two. Or at least re-watching the Summer Blockbusters of yore. My go-to is Jaws. Was this a contributing factor to my aversion to the ocean? Who’s to say? Mostly the ocean is a vast, indifferent hellscape incompatible with human life. But also sharks are scary, so yeah, maybe a little.

I’m fine.

Anyway, Daddy Trivia Night is on Tuesday.

I’m not affiliated with GameGrumps, but you should absolutely check out this game. I’ve played through twice. Here’s Arin & Dan playing. Enjoy! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V6NnXpMDzc

Yes, Daddy… - Daddy Trivia (6/17)

In the interest of gender equality (let’s say) comes yet another deranged evening of trivia - it’s Daddy Trivia Night! Am I going to explain? No. Should I be reined in? Probably. But here we go anyway! June 17th at 6PM is going to be Daddy.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted! - Summer Vacation Trivia (6/24)

‘Member Summer Vacation? Swimming pools, popsicles, little league, coming-of-age journeys into the woods to find a dead body… ah, those were the days. Put on your rose tinted glasses and come on down to Calapooia Brewing for an evening all about the staples of summer vacation, from summer movies to baseball! June 24th at 6 PM.

Fun Fact: The filming of “Jaws” was complicated by several things, from alcoholism to the problematic joining of salt water & electronics. This trouble-plagued production is the subject of a play called “The Shark is Broken,” a comedic chronicle of the on-set shenanigans co-written by and starring Ian Shaw, the son of Robert Shaw (Quint). Some people go to therapy, some people write and star in Olivier Award nominated plays about their father’s alcoholism. Different strokes for Different Folks.
