After what seemed like a 1000 year break, trivia makes its “triumphant” return on September 9th! And as is the custom, it’s going to be a weird one! From Mushrooms to Classrooms, it’s gonna be downright educational this month.

Mushroom Night - A Fun(gi) Night of Trivia (9/9)

The trivia on September 9th will be Mushroom themed to coincide with Albany’s upcoming mushroom festival on September 21st. From Fungi Fun Facts to the Toadstool Kingdom, myriad mycological questions will test your knowledge of mushrooms edible, fatal and magical - all for bragging rights and prizes.

Back to School - Trivia with Class (9/23)

Pop Quiz Kiddos! Dork Night Trivia goes Back to School with an evening of scholastic shenanigans. From Science to Social Studies, English to Español, Geography to Geology, everything could be on the test!

Fun Fact: In a case of convergent evolution, two similar fungal zombie pieces of fiction were released in or around 2013. Best known is probably “The Last of Us,” but around the same time the story “The Girl with All the Gifts” was published, which similarly followed a young girl with a unique version of an infection of a mutant Cordyceps fungus. Given the timelines of their creation, neither one was “ripping-off” the other, but it is still remarkable the amount of similarities they have.
