Hey June!
Happy Pride! Summer is nearly here! Also, slight schedule change.
Happy Pride Month!
June is Pride Month and this year marks the 50th anniversary of World Pride, the annual Pride celebration in Washington D.C. The federal government is getting into the spirit by replicating the conditions that necessitated Pride in the first place! /s
Saint Marsha preserve us.
Anyway. Jump Scare!! Minor SCHEDULE CHANGE this month! The first trivia of June is getting nudged a bit to the THIRD Tuesday of the month (6/17).
Why?
1) This is the week of so many graduations and grad parties.
2) I’m out of town.
Still, two trivias this month! You’re welcome / I’m sorry.

I’m not affiliated with GameGrumps, but you should absolutely check out this game. I’ve played through twice. Here’s Arin & Dan playing. Enjoy! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V6NnXpMDzc

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted! - Summer Vacation Trivia (6/24)
‘Member Summer Vacation? Swimming pools, popsicles, little league, coming-of-age journeys into the woods to find a dead body… ah, those were the days. Put on your rose tinted glasses and come on down to Calapooia Brewing for an evening all about the staples of summer vacation, from summer movies to baseball! June 24th at 6 PM.
Fun Fact: In the wee hours of June 28, 1969, the NYPD raided the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan. This was not an uncommon occurrence at the time, but this raid was the last straw. Legend tells that the first brick lobbed at a cop was yeeted by Marsha P. Johnson, a queer trans black woman who had reached her limit. That brick sparked the Stonewall Uprising, an event that led directly to the Pride movement. When we say “the first pride was a riot,” this is what we’re talking about.
Further Fun Fact: When asked what the “P” stood for, Marsha famously stated “Pay It No Mind,” words that now adorn a beautiful floral archway to the Brooklyn park that bears her name, an homage to her iconic floral crown.
